Is there a cost to a self-hosted blog?
Yes, there is a cost to hosting a self-hosted blog, HOWEVER, it is quite affordable if you follow my instructions. Less than $4/mo ;-). PLUS you will get your domain for free. These are NOT my costs, this is just how much it costs to do this with a website host. Of course, different hosts offer different packages. I will show you the one I use and trust.
Can I still hire a designer later if I choose to?
Yes of course. All they would need is access to your WordPress administrative office. Give it a go on your own first! You might surprise yourself :-).
